Mulberry Aromatics

Horses, by nature, are extremely sensitive and intuitive animals and naturally select, to keep their well being in balance, herbs, plants, barks and clays for their medicinal, vitamin and mineral content. It is my belief therefore, we must respect their innate knowledge and allow them to select their remedies and self-medicate.

As essential oils and aromatics are pure, natural herbal remedies, Mother Nature’s answer to pharmaceutical drugs, animals are instinctively able to recognise the medicinal properties of the aromatics being offered and select the ones appropriate to their needs; both psychological and physical.

During each consultation, your horse will select a balanced combination of remedies for itself and know exactly how much of each needs to taken.

For behavioural problems, results can usually be seen by the end of the session, for a physical problem, then this will obviously take a little longer.

What are essential oils:

Essential oils are complex compounds extracted from plant matter via steam, or alcohol or expression and compose of hundreds of organic chemicals which give each oil its own unique properties. It is with the skill and knowledge of a therapist that can really bring the qualities of these oils to life by blending to merge these essences to create dramatic therapeutic remedies.

Properties of essential oils are many but just a few are:

Anti-bacterial and viral Relaxing Great for: muscle and nerve pain, headaches and migraine
Anti-inflammatory and arthritic Sophorific skin complaints: eczema, psoriasis, dry and itchy skin
Anti-fungal Uplifting and anti-depressant Thrush and candida
Immune stimulating Comforting Stress resulting in ulcers, stomach and digestive complaints
Anti-spasmodic Stimulating Menstral and hormonal problems, pre and post natal
